William Lee “Bill” Lucas, 85, of Richmond, Kansas, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Richmond Healthcare & Rehabilitation, Richmond, Kansas.
Cremation is planned with no services scheduled.
Bill was born Wednesday, September 27, 1939, in Ottawa, Kansas, the son of Kendall and Frances (Lilly) Lucas.
He was a lifelong Franklin County resident.
Bill worked in manufacturing as a welder working for Havens Steel, Stockley’s, and Commodore Trailer.
He was preceded in death by his parents Kendall and Frances; sisters Shirley Garrett and Janet Wallace; brothers Jimmy Lucas and Kendall Lucas.
Survivors include daughters Donna Layton (Steve) and Sandy Crawford (Jack); son Billy Lucas (Debra); sister Doris Ann Bridges (Bud); brother Charles Lucas; nieces Debbie Bridges and Tammy Bishop (Randy); nephews Brian Bridges, Kevin Bridges (Dana), and Charles Lucas, Jr.; many grandchildren; and many great nieces and nephews.
