Walter G. Stringham

Walter G. Stringham, age 79, of Bucyrus, KS died February 17, 2010 at Kansas City, Mo. He was born Feb. 25, 1930 in Osawatomie, KS, the son of Willard S. and Lillian (Henry) Stringham. He was united in marriage to Evelyn L. Stringham on February 25, 1967 in Prairie Village, KS. Walter worked in the lumberyard business until retiring in 1989. He served in the United States Army from 1951-1953. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Evelyn who passed away Sept. 19, 2009. Survivors include 2 sons, Ron Stringham, Osawatomie, KS and Willard Stringham, Bucyrus KS; 1 Daughter, Janet Chmidling, Gardner, KS and four grandchildren. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. " 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the Penwell - Gabel Funeral Home, Louisburg, KS. Private burial will be in the Bucyrus Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to a charity of choice.
