Tommy William Counter

Tommy William Counter, 67, of Baldwin City, Kansas, passed away Monday, February 20, 2023, at his home.

Tommy was born on Monday. January 9, 1956, in Hebron, Nebraska, the son of Donald and Leota (McGehee) Counter.

He made his lifelong home in Baldwin City, Kansas, after living in Loveland, Colorado for about 7 years where he was employed by Walmart Distribution Center as a truck driver. Tommy returned to Kansas continuing to work for Walmart Distribution Center in Ottawa. Tommy was a truck driver for 34 years before retiring.

Tommy enjoyed riding Haley Davidson motorcycles, fishing, and was a big fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.

He was united in marriage to Carol Hacker and became the parents of one son. She proceeded him in death.

He was proceeded in death by his wife, parents, and brother Donnie.

Tommy was survived by his son, Jason Counter (Jennifer Hall) of Wichita, Kansas; brothers, Steve Counter (Jean) of Wichita, Kansas, and Dan Counter of Lonetree, Colorado; sister, Cathi Wood (Bob) of Wichita, Kansas; and one grandchild, Nathaniel.
