Tabitha Mae Cantrell (Tabby) passed away peacefully surrounded by love on September 30, 2025. Tabby was born Tabitha Mae Buckley on September 28, 1943, to Willis and Hazel Buckley in Sedalia, Missouri.
In 1960, she met Paul Hairl Cantrell at the Olathe Kansas Swimming Pool. They married on June 26, 1961, in Seymour, Missouri.
She is preceded in death by her husband Hairl, a daughter, three brothers, one sister, and her loving parents.
She leaves three sons, Hairl Lee (Christine) Cantrell, Paul Eugene (Mary) Cantrell, Mark DeWayne (Pam) Cantrell, and one daughter, Tammy Farmer. She also leaves 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson.
Tabby leaves a legacy of love, laughter, and good food (turkey pot pies and her potato salad among the many). We can say that she only met a couple of foods she didn't like and recently found a love for crab legs!
A burial will be at the Hillsdale Cemetery in Hillsdale, KS, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, on October 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
