Sharon Kay Kinney

Sharon Kay Kinney passed away on May 2, 2025, under unusual circumstances.

Visitation will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, May 16, 2025, at Dengel & Son Mortuary - Louisburg Chapel, 1 Aquatic Drive, Louisburg, Kansas 66053. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at the Glenwild Cemetery, Cleveland, Missouri, following the service.

She was born April 5, 1962, to Tilton and Eva Hinds in Paola, KS. She graduated from Louisburg High School in 1980. Sharon worked at the glass plant in Spring Hull, KS and Mailwright in Kansas City, MO. She later went back to college and got certified as a radiology technician. Sharon worked at various locations before she was hired at the Kansas City VA Medical Center. She worked there for 22 years.

Sharon married Gary Kinney in 1999, for 10 years but they later divorced. They remained friends. Sharon will be remembered for her fun-loving personality, hard work, and her love for motorcycles. She was a loving aunt to many nephews and nieces.

She is survived by her mother, Eva Hinds, of Louisburg, Siblings; Albert Hinds (Rebecca), of Arizona, Bonnie Hinds (Frank), of Leavenworth, Patty Luker (Ben), of Utah, Ben Hinds (Joy), of Bucyrus, and Marjorie Fisher, of Louisburg, as well her nephews and nieces.
