Sean Christopher Everhart, age 49, passed away on April 22, 2026. He was born on May 15, 1976, at Saint Luke's Hospital.
Sean was raised on his family's farm near Paola, Kansas, where he lived at home with his parents, Larry and Carol Everhart and brother Russell. At a youthful age he loved to play King on the Corner with his Grandma Jean. He attended the Paola school system and formed many lasting friendships throughout his youth.
During his senior year of high school, Sean had the unique opportunity to participate in a Rotary International exchange program. He spent a year in Mölby, Sweden, while living in Sweden he attended the presentation of a Nobel Prize. This broadened his perspective and left a lasting impression on his life.
Following his senior year, graduating from Molby High, Swedish Immigrant School and Paola High school he attended Emporia State University. Sean applied and received a one thousand dollar scholarship through GE Credit for his beginning college education. He majored in computer information systems. and graduated Maga Cum Lade.
His first employment was with Sprint Corporation and later became employed by Jack Henry and Associates as software engineer, manager.
Sean will be remembered for his roots in family and the experiences that shaped him along the way.
He is survived by his parents, Larry and Carol Everhart, brother Russ (Lisa) and Nieces Briley and Haven along with extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.
Celebration of life visitation will be held at Dengel and Son Mortuary-Paola Chapel from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Saturday, May 9, 2026. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to KC Care Health Center for the less fortunate or Harvesters.
