Roy Lee Wobker

Roy was born August 25, 1955, in Ottawa, KS to Roy O. and Rosa L. Wobker, the second of four children. He attended grade school in Fontana, KS until 1965, when the family moved to Bonner Springs, KS. In 1971, the family returned to rural Miami County where he attended Paola High School.

At 18, he followed his father in a career as a crane operator, helping to build many of the bridges in and around the greater Kansas City area. As well as some in other states, working for Ameno Brother and Camanche Construction Co., until he retired to pursue his love of farming, camping, and fishing.

April 23, 2001, he married the love of his life, Barbara. They would then move to their rural Rantoul farm.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Wobker, of the home; mother, Rosa Wobker (Paola), sister, Patty Reed (Paola), brothers Albert and Chuck (Paola), sons, Kevin (Nebraska), Ben, and Randy (Mound City, KS), daughter, Lindsey (Wichita), 15 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson.

He is preceded in death by his father, Roy Wobker and son, Tyler Wobker.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Dengel & Son Mortuary-Paola Chapel 305 N. Pearl St. Paola, KS 66071.
