Ronita “Roni” Karg passed away on August 28, 2026, in Paola, Kansas, at North Point, where she had been a resident for the past two years. She was born on January 31, 1968, in Kansas City, Kansas.
Roni grew up in Blue Springs, Missouri, where she attended school and graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1986. In her early years, she participated in dance and was a happy child who enjoyed playing games and was always on the go. She was also an avid Elvis Presley fan and proudly considered herself an “Elvis Nut,” collecting Elvis CDs, movies, and other memorabilia that reflected the joy she found in his music and legacy.
She was happiest when she was at the Middle Creek Opry. She loved the music and found great meaning in helping at the opry, a place that clearly brought her lasting happiness. Roni also spent several years at Lakemary in Paola before moving to North Point for the last two years. Her Parkinson’s and disabilities never stopped her from being the person she was, and she continued to be remembered for her spirit and the happiness she brought to others.
Roni is survived by her father, Ronald Karg; her mother, Brenda Harris; and her brothers, Greg Karg and Bud Karg. She also leaves behind many nieces and extended family members who will carry her memory forward with love.
Those who knew Roni will remember her for her enthusiasm, her love of music, and the energy she brought to life. Her memory will remain a cherished part of the lives of her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Private family services will be held.
