Robert J. Hooton

Robert J. Hooton, 91, Ottawa, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He was born Feb. 24, 1916, to Lester B. and Nina (Salome) Hooton at Dunnegan, Mo. He was a life-long Ottawa resident. He was a mechanic and repaired appliances for many years. Survivors include four nephews, Darrell Hooton, Springfield, Mo., Daniel Hooton, Warsaw, Mo., Neil Preston, Lee's Summit, Mo., and David Hooton, Lincoln, Mo.; and a niece, Carolyn Dungee, Lincoln, Mo. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bernard Hooton; and a sister, Norma Preston. SERVICES: Graveside services and inurnment will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 12, 2007 at Glenloch Cemetery, Anderson County, Kansas . IN STATE: Cremation is planned. CEMETERY: Glenloch Cemetery.
