Robert Dean Griffith

RESIDENCE HISTORY: He lived in Pomona since 1978, moving from Ottawa. He moved to Ottawa from Jefferson City, Missouri in 1975. OCCUPATION & BUSINESS: He was a heavy equipment operator. In the late 1960`s, he worked for Hamms Quarry, during which time he helped build the dam for Perry Lake. He was a truck driver for several years in the early 1970`s. In the mid 1970`s, he was employed by Smokey Hill Construction. For ten years, he worked for Mitchell Construction, retiring in 1992. MARRIAGE: On November 7, 1970, Griff was united in marriage with Debra Atwell at Sedan, Kansas. She survives of their home. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 13, 2003. OFFICIATING CLERGY: Rev. Leonard Cheasbro. IN STATE: Mr. Griffith will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends 7 to 8:00 Thursday evening.
