Rita Elaine Stanchfield

Rita Elaine Stanchfield, 72, of Paola, passed away on December 3, 2023, at Advent Health in Shawnee Mission.

She was born on January 3, 1951, to Leonard and Helen (Whitaker) Shea.

Rita worked as an office assistant for Dr. Robert Banks and Dr. Donald Banks for about 40 years before retiring.

On May 1, 1971, she married William (Bill) Stanchfield. Rita and Bill made Paola, Kansas their home. Together they raised two boys.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially watching her grandchildren play sports.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Bill.

She is survived by her sons, Caylor Stanchfield and Colby Stanchfield (Elizabeth), grandchildren, Carter, Cooper, and Charley Stanchfield; brother, Robert Shea (Carol) and sister, Jean French; nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
