Pauline K. Ferguson, age 63 of Williamsburg, KS, passed away on July 30, 2026 at her home surrounded by her closest family members. Born on April 24, 1963 in Ottawa, KS, Pauline is leaving behind a legacy marked by dedication, kindness, and meaningful service to her community and loved ones.

A proud graduate of Ottawa High School, Class of 1981, Pauline furthered her commitment to public service by working at the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department for 10 years. Following that position, she left to further her career by completing the Law Enforcement Academy in 1989. Following the completion of the Academy, Pauline dedicated the majority of her career to the Kansas Highway Patrol where she raised in ranks throughout her career. During this time, Pauline found far more than coworkers, but an extension to her family. Pauline protected and served with distinction at the Kansas Highway Patrol until her well-earned retirement in 2018. Throughout her career, she was recognized for her professionalism, sense of duty, and unwavering resolve.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Pauline was known for her passion and creativity. She cherished her time crafting and gardening—pursuits that brought beauty and joy to those around her. Whether fashioning hand-made gifts or nurturing her garden, she approached each endeavor with patience and warmth, touching the lives of friends and family alike.

Pauline’s family was central to her life. She is survived by her devoted husband, Richard Ferguson, and by her beloved son, Dakota Ferguson & wife Paige. Her legacy lives on in her granddaughter, who was the center of her world and light of her life for the past year, Kelby Ferguson. Pauline’s family circle also includes her sister, Kathy Jo Hughes & wife Beth; mother in law, Mary Ryburn; mother in law, Sandi Ferguson; one brother; numerous brother and sister in laws; numerous nieces and nephews. Each of these relationships was shaped by Pauline’s steadfast love and support.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd & Eloise Milton; grandparents, Louie & Bessie Larkin; father in law, Ralph Ferguson; two brothers Rick Milton and Ron Milton. Their memories held a special place in Pauline’s heart, and she honored them through her values and actions.

To celebrate Pauline’s life, a visitation will be held on August 3, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dengel & Son Mortuary - Crematory, located at 235 S Hickory St, Ottawa, KS 66067. A Celebration of Life service & luncheon is scheduled for August 4, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Celebration Hall, Franklin County Fairgrounds, 1737 S. Elm St., Ottawa, KS 66067. Inurnment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, 33721 NW. Crawford Rd., Williamsburg, KS 66095, at 6:00 p.m. on the same day. Memorial contributions can be made to Good Shepherd Hospice.

Pauline’s life was shaped by unwavering service, deep compassion, and a lasting devotion to her family and community. Her memory will be treasured by all who knew her, and her legacy will endure in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
