Patricia “Patsy” Ann Kettler, born on July 27, 1939, peacefully passed away on January 25, 2026.

Patsy was born in Kansas City, Kansas, to Lester and Urline (Eisenhower) Green. She was raised in rural Spring Hill, Kansas by her parents, step-mother, Vivian and father, Lester Green. After graduating from Spring Hill High School in 1957, she married Wayne Martin and became a devoted mother to their two daughters. Following Wayne’s courageous battle with cancer, Patsy faced the challenge of single parenthood with remarkable strength and resilience at the age of 27. She later found love again and married Paul Kettler in 1967, expanding her family with the addition of two more daughters.

With a dedicated career spanning nearly 30 years, Patsy served her community at the Farmers Insurance offices in Paola, starting with the Bernard Rosner Insurance Agency and concluding her journey at the Pat Hewitt Agency, where she retired in 2002. Patsy was well-respected for her reliability, sharp wit, and heartfelt concern for her colleagues and customers alike.

A devoted member of the Hillsdale Presbyterian Church, Patsy exemplified love and support as a mother and friend, always being present for those she cared about through every season of life. Her absence will be felt profoundly by all who knew her, and she will be forever cherished.

Patsy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Paul Kettler; her siblings, James Green, Judy Heggy, and Donald Green; as well as step-siblings, Mavis Christian and Donald Champlain.

She is survived by her daughters, Deb (Mike) Tolar of Ajijic, Mexico; Deanea (Jeff) Boydston of Spring Hill, Kansas; Denise (Gregg) Miller of Denver, Colorado; and Kim (Brad) Cox of Land O’ Lakes, Florida. Additionally, she leaves behind seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and her sister, Brenda (John) Anderson of Wellsville, Kansas.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at the Spring Hill Cemetery.

In memory of Patsy, the family kindly requests that any memorial contributions be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary-Paola Chapel, 305 N. Pearl St., Paola, KS 66071.
