Patricia Ann Moser age 88 of Paola, passed away on January 15th at the Olathe Hospice House. She was born on August 5, 1937 in Hillsdale, Kansas to Nadine Ethelyn Barkley White and John Wilbur White.
Nadine was raised in Miami County and attended grade school in Wagstaff and graduated from Paola High School in 1955. She was united in marriage to Richard Blackburn on June 3, 1955 which later ended in divorce. She was married to Dale Moser on May 1, 1993. She was a homemaker and mother of six children. Patricia worked at the Dairy Queen, in Cameron, Missouri, Owned and operated Wholesale Ice Business and Flavored Donut Shop in Cameron, after moving to Olathe she worked at the 7-11 for 13 years until 1993.
Patricia belonged to the Paola Ruritan Club from 1993 until it shutdown in 2007. and was district Governor in 2002. She enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, crocheting and playing Mexican Train Dominoes.
Surviving are her children, David Royce Blackburn, Larry Wayne Blackburn, John Eldon Blackburn, Scott Alan Blackburn, two daughters Deana Ann Sorrels, and Sally Wood, sister Carol Player, 22 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Kenneth Dean White, and sister Lora Marie Burkart. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Meals for Veterans or Miami Cancer Foundation.
Visitation Monday January 19th from10 to 11am at the Dengel and Son Mortuary in Paola,then burial at the Hillsdale Cemetery.
