Neva Louise Hamilton

Louise Hamilton passed away on October 20, 2026, at the age of 86.

Born on August 25, 1940, Neva lived a life marked by dedication, strength, and deep love for her family. She attended Princeton High School and carried throughout her life a driven spirit and a true zeal for living that touched those around her.

Louise devoted many years to her work, serving for 22 years at Woolworth and later working 15 years for Mission Heating and Cooling. Her steady commitment and work ethic were part of the example she set for her family and all who knew her.

In her younger years, Louise was an avid bowler and officer in the Ottawa Women’s Bowling Association.

Above all, Louise’s proudest accomplishment was her family. She shared her life with her husband, Dean Hamilton, and found great joy in the family they built together. She is survived by her children, Charlotte (Gary), Ronald (Sherri), Shelly Russel), Mike (Julie), Angie (Ronnie), and James (Robyn), as well as sister Irene. Her legacy continues through her 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren, each of whom was part of the family she cherished so deeply. The love she gave and the pride she took in her family will remain a lasting gift to all who knew her.

Louise was preceded in death by Charles, George, Edgar, and Edith and infant son Henry Albert.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S Hickory St, Ottawa, KS 66067.

Louise will be remembered for her determination, her warmth, and the joy she found in life and family. Her memory will be carried forward with love by those who were blessed to know her.
