Nancy Sue Facteau

Nancy Sue Facteau passed away on August 27, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on July 18, 1951, Nancy lived a life centered on family, hard work, and the simple joys that brought people together.

Nancy attended Paola schools and spent most of her adult life living in Olathe. She devoted more than 30 years of service to the JC Penney Warehouse in Lenexa, a reflection of her steady work ethic and commitment throughout her life.

Outside of work, Nancy found happiness in the moments that made a house feel like home and a family feel close. She enjoyed bowling and traveling, and she especially treasured time with her grandchildren. Holidays were deeply important to her, and she took joy in gathering with loved ones, spreading warmth and happiness through time spent together. She also loved being outdoors doing yard work, and she was known for cooking and baking for the holidays and other special occasions, caring for others in ways both thoughtful and lasting.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Facteau; her father, James Pearce; her mother, Nadine Pearce; and her son, William Leeker Jr.

She is survived by her children, Brian Leeker, Tamara Bounds, and Bernie Leeker; her stepchildren, Tilisha Alexander, Michael Casida, and Christopher Casida; and by her siblings, Lenny Pearce, Mike Pearce, Debbie Brewer, Tina Balthrop, and Bruce Pearce. She will be remembered with love by her family and by all who shared in the joy, kindness, and togetherness she so naturally gave.

A visitation will be held on September 4, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Dengel & Son Mortuary - Paola, 305 N Pearl St, Paola, KS 66071. The funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Paola Cemetery following the service.
