Nancy Jo (Rigg) Doenges, passed away on October 13, 2026, in Olathe, Kansas, at the age of 76. She was born on August 10, 1950, in Kansas City, Missouri.
Nancy grew up in Shawnee, Kansas, and graduated from high school in Shawnee Mission. She built a career as a salesperson and worked for Lumen, formerly known as Embarq. Her retirement came just two months ago, marking the close of many years of dedicated work.
Nancy was united in marriage to Henry A. Doenges, on May 30, 1991. He preceded her in death on July 22, 2015.
She found great joy in the simple and lasting pleasures of life. Nancy loved fishing and being out in nature, and she especially enjoyed gardening and watching the deer in her yard. She also loved to cook and was an avid Chiefs fan who never missed a game. She took pride in keeping her property well maintained and always up to her standards, a reflection of the care and attention she brought to all she did. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Melissa Beasley, and by her step-sons, King Henry Doenges and Max Douglas Doenges, 16 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Doenges; her son, Craig Garcia; and her parents, Robert Rigg and Patricia Rigg.
Nancy will be remembered for her love of family, her enjoyment of the outdoors, her strong sense of pride in her home, and the warmth she brought to everyday life.
