Mary Kathryn Roesler, age 80, of Gardner, Kansas, passed away on May 13, 2025, at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Olathe. Born on July 24, 1944, in Lawrence, Kansas, she was the daughter of Hallie O. Hale and Della May Flory Hale.
Mary was a proud graduate of Baldwin High School. Throughout her life, she had a deep passion for various hobbies, which included immersing herself in crossword puzzles, spending quality time with family and friends, and baking delicious treats. A devoted fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, she also took great joy in growing roses and gardening alongside her family, often sharing the fruits of her labor with loved ones. Mary had a special affection for her pet dogs and cherished the companionship they provided.
She spent many years as a devoted member of the Worden Methodist Church, contributing to her community and finding joy in fellowship with others.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband Marvin Roesler, daughter Kathy, son Terry, grandson Michael, and sister Irene Saile.
She is survived by two sons, Tracy Pettibon (Glenda) and Tony Pettibon (Amy); sister Edith Sumner; six grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren who will continue to carry her legacy forward.
Mary's warmth, kindness, and unyielding spirit will be remembered by all whose lives she touched. Her family and friends will hold her memory dearly in their hearts as they reflect on the love and joy she shared throughout her life.
