RESIDENCE HISTORY: Mary was a near lifelong resident of Franklin County. Many years ago, she lived a short time in Argentine and Osage City. EDUCATION: Mary graduated from Appanoose High School with the class of 1937. OCCUPATION: Mary was a lifelong homemaker and volunteer at the Ottawa Middle School from 1988 until 1997. MARRIAGE: On May 18, 1941, Mary was united in marriage with William `Rex` Howard at Centropolis, Kansas. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1988. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 6, 2004. OFFICIANT: Rev. Henry A. Roberts, Jr. IN STATE: Mrs. Howard will lie in state after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Dengel & Son Mortuary until the service hour, where the family will meet with friends 7 to 8:00 Thursday evening.
