Born Mary Alane Rosner on August 30, 1953, in Kansas City, Missouri, she was a beloved member of her community and a devoted family woman whose presence brightened the lives of many.

Mary grew up in Wea, Kansas, where she attended local schools and graduated with the class of 1971 from Louisburg High School. Her formative years in Louisburg laid the foundation for a life marked by dedication, warmth, and spirited engagement with those around her. She married Allan L. Ewalt, on October 1, 1971, at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, in Bucyrus, Kansas. Together they raised three children.

Professionally, Mary contributed many years of service at Farmers Insurance as a trainer, where her skills, knowledge, and empathy shaped the careers of numerous colleagues. She was respected and admired by those fortunate enough to work alongside her.

Mary's life extended far beyond her career. She treasured time with her family, cherishing moments filled with love and joy. She enjoyed shopping excursions, lively wine tours, and festive parties that celebrated her zest for life. Her travels often took her to Las Vegas, a place she delighted in visiting for its excitement and energy. Among her many passions, Mary took great pride in competing for many years in the American Royal BBQ contest, showcasing her skill and competitive spirit.

A proud member of the Red Hat Society, Mary also found joy and camaraderie among friends who shared her enthusiasm for life's pleasures.

Most of all, Mary’s heart belonged to her grandchildren. She lavished them with love, taking them on memorable trips and creating lifelong memories that would be treasured forever. Her role as grandmother was one she embraced with profound affection and joy.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Allan L. Ewalt, who stood by her side through life’s journey. Together, they raised a family that stands as a testament to her nurturing spirit: children Allan M. (Jeanne) Ewalt, Sonny (Kelly) Ewalt, and Brianne (Nicholas) Roney. Her cherished grandchildren include Taylor (Kiel) Simas, Allan "Joey" (Brooke) Ewalt, Cole Ewalt, Drue Ewalt, Weston Ewalt, Emma Roney, Brooklyn Roney, and Kayce Roney, along with great-grandchildren Wren Simas and Brenna Ewalt, who were the light of her later years. Mary’s sisters, Diana (Larry) Day, Sharon Wise, Kathy (David) Wilson, Lea (Bill) Barker, and Chris (Dale) Rosner, also survive her, offering enduring family bonds.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Francis and Lois Rosner, her dear sister Nancy Rosner, brother-in-law Jim Wise, niece Nicole Day, and nephew David Wilson, whose memories she held dear.
