Marjorie Ann Argeropoulos, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, went to be with Jesus on July 3, 2025. Born on July 17, 1944, in Ellis, Arkansas, Marjorie was the daughter of Paul and Eileen Garrett. She was a proud member of the Park Hill High School class of 1962 in Kansas City, MO, and her journey through life was marked by her dedication to family, community, and her passion for nurturing those around her.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday, July 14, 2025, at Cross Point Church 1016 N Pearl St, Paola, KS 66071. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 15, 2025, also at the church.
In her later years, Marjorie served as an office manager at American Fabrication, where she worked diligently for eight years. However, her true calling was found at home, where she embraced the role of a proud homemaker, caring for her family with unmatched devotion.
Marjorie ignited joy throughout her life with an array of passions. She was known fondly as the family cab driver (frequently seen in her blue Nova with her husband, George, acting as the back-seat driver), always ready to whisk her children and grandchildren, to their various activities. In her early years, she was a member of the Northmoor United Methodist Church, Northmoor, MO. In her later years, she often attended Cross Point Church in Paola, KS. Marjorie was also the Den Mother while her sons participated in both Cub and Boy Scouts, served as the Church Historian at Fellowship of Love Church in Kansas City, KS, as well as an active member of the Chamber of Commerce. Above all, her love for Jesus Christ was the most important part of her life.
Her hobbies brought light and laughter into her life as well. An avid bowler, Marjorie participated in the Sunset Bowling League in Kansas City, KS, adding a sprinkle of vibrant competition with her husband. She was also passionate about flower gardening, nurturing blooms that bloomed as beautifully as her spirit. Notably, she adored animals, with a particular fondness for cats.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George J. Argeropoulos, parents, Paul and Eileen Garrett, sister, Beverly (Leslie) Rooks, and two nieces, Deena Pearson and Kimberly Garrett.
Marjorie's greatest pride came from her family. She is survived by her sons, George (Staci) Argeropoulos and Paul (Mary Kathryn) Argeropoulos. Marjorie found joy in the laughter of her grandchildren, Justin Argeropoulos, Nikki Argeropoulos, Britini Sombke, Alyssa, Josh, Jaden, Maleah, Burke, and Jeremiah Argeropoulos, as well as her five great-grandchildren. Alongside her immediate family, she leaves behind her cherished sisters, Deloris Sue Garrett and MaryLou Garrett, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever hold her close to their hearts.
Marjorie's legacy is one of deep love, unwavering support, and cherished memories that will continue to resonate in the lives of all she touched. She will be dearly missed but fondly remembered for the profound impact she made on her family and community. Her spirit, vibrant and full of life, will live on in the gardens she tended, the smiles of her grandchildren, and the enduring bonds of family that she cherished so deeply.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made payable to the Miami County Cancer Foundation, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, P.O. Box 669, Louisburg, KS 66053.
