Kyle Hudson

Kyle Hudson, 39, passed away on August 29, 2026, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on August 3, 1987, in Butler, Missouri.

Kyle grew up in Paola and attended Paola schools. He graduated from Paola High School with the Class of 2005. In his working life, he was self-employed in home remodeling, a field well suited to his skill, determination, and strong work ethic.

He enjoyed working on cars and was known for being especially good with his hands. He was always busy with projects and took pride in the work he did. At the time of his passing, he was working on his house, remodeling the bathrooms and doing various electrical work around the home. He also loved riding his motorcycle.

More than anything, Kyle will be remembered for his generous spirit. He was willing to help anyone who needed it. If someone called and asked for help, he would be there, freely giving his time and effort to those around him. That readiness to show up for others was a lasting part of who he was and is among the many things his family and friends will hold close in memory.

Kyle is survived by his mother, Dona Hudson; his father, Leibert Hudson; his step-father, Rusty Cornett; his grandmother, Gloria Hicks; his uncles, Robert Eastman, Leslie Hudson, LeRoy Hudson, and Leoren Hudson; and his aunts, Cindy Eastman and Marsha Slyter, as well as many cousins and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Velma Eastman, and by his uncle, Warren Hicks.

He will be remembered with love by his family and by all who knew him for his kindness, his helpful nature, and the work of his hands. His memory will remain a comfort to those whose lives he touched.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
