Kenneth Dwayne Teter was born September 22, 1961 in Ottawa, Kansas, the son of Rodger Teter and Janice McIntosh. He graduated from Central Heights High School in 1979. He went on to technical school in Beloit, Kansas.

On March 20th, 1982 he was united in marriage to Terrie Denise Keefer at Richmond, Kansas. After their marriage, they lived for a short time in Oklahoma where he worked for Halliburton before moving back to the Richmond area. He spent many years as a truck driver often team driving. After the death of his wife in 1997, he wanted to be closer to home and started his over 20-year career in maintenance at Central Heights School District from which he retired.

Kenny most enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. He never missed his children’s activities. For many years, he raised quarter and paint horses and served as a leader/volunteer in the 4-H club and fair horse shows. He loved dancing including many types such as two-step, waltz, polka, and line dancing. He enjoyed owning and riding motorcycles. Later on, many hours were spent riding ATVs, kayaking, and fishing, especially with his best friend Rocky Keele. As a grandpa, he could always be counted on and he attended many activities. He had a passion for building and being creative in his shop especially on projects such as antique light fixtures, smokers, customizing ATVs and trailers. You could often find him at home smoking meats.

He is survived by daughter, Angela Watson and Steven Crouch and their children Breck, Cannon, and Sutton; his son, Shane and Chelsea Teter and their children Kinley and Kloey; his mother, Janice McIntosh and Bud Moore; his sister Brenda Wadkins and Jay Atchison; his half-brother Kevin Teter; his stepson, Nathan and Kirsten Patterson and their children Natalie, Chayten, Sophia, Josie and many more aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was proceeded in death by wife, Terrie Denise Teter; father, Rodger Teter, grandparents Merle and Agnes Brockus; Flick and Verna Mae Teter.

Family will greet friends 5:30-7:30pm, Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa.

Funeral service will be held 10am, Friday, November 7, 2025 at Richmond United Methodist Church, Richmond, Kansas.

Interment Richmond Cemetery, Richmond, Kansas.
