Kathryn E. Sheler

Kathryn E. Sheler, 74, of Ottawa, passed away Saturday, July 31, 2017, at Ransom Memorial Hospital. Family will meet with friends from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, August 4, 2017, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Private family inurnment Greenwood Cemetery, Ottawa, at a later date. Kathryn was born Saturday, December 26, 1942, in Ottawa, Kansas, the daughter of Frank and Edna (Higgins) Kreusch. She was a lifelong Ottawa resident. Survivors include her four children, Forrest Dale Cook of Lawrence, Raymond Cook of Chanute, Tina Cook of Ottawa, and Carl Messick also of Ottawa; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Raymond Kreusch, and Jack Kreusch and wife Louise. Kathryn was a devoted homemaker. She attended Cornerstone Church in Ottawa.
