Joshua Lynn Stoner

May 3, 1981 — December 11, 2024

Osawatomie

Joshua Lynn Stoner, passed away unexpectedly on December 11, 2024, at the age of 43. Born on May 3, 1981, to Terry and April Stoner, Joshua grew up in LaCygne, Kansas, where he graduated from Prairie View High School in 1999.

Visitation will be held at the Dengel & Son Mortuary-Paola Chapel on Saturday, December 21, 2024, beginning at 10:00am. Funeral service will follow beginning at 11:30 am. Burial will take place at Osawatomie Cemetery following the funeral services.

Joshua was a man of many talents and passions. He excelled in woodworking, metalworking, drawing, and painting—skills that reflected his creativity and dedication to craftsmanship. He also had a deep love for Harley-Davidson motorcycles and cherished the time he spent with his beloved dogs. With the love and support from his fiancé, Armina, he was able to pour himself into all of the hobbies he loved so much.

Professionally, Joshua began his career as a printing press operator before transitioning into a role as a quality assurance specialist. His work ethic and attention to detail were evident in all that he did.

A common theme in Joshua's life was kindness. He would go above and beyond to help anybody in need and never say a word about it. He never did it for the praise or bragged about it. He simply did it because he was a good and kind man. Helping others, making them smile or laugh, that's what filled his heart.

Above all else, Joshua valued his relationships with family and friends. He was a devoted son, brother, fiancé to Armina, uncle, cousin, and friend who brought joy to those around him. He especially treasured the moments spent with his nieces and nephews, who held a special place in his heart. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his mother, April Stoner, brother in law Michael Pettibon, step-brother Jason Foley, and many other loved ones.

Joshua is survived by his fiancé and love of his life, Armina Hamidovic, his father and stepmother, Terry & Sherri Stoner, his sisters Amanda Pettibon, Jessica Wise (husband, Brad Wise), Ashley Stoner, and step sister Jennifer Resner, and his many nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him so much.

Joshua’s big, beautiful smile, goofy laugh, vibrant spirit, and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
