John was a near lifelong Ottawa resident. In recent years he has resided at Heart to Heart in Pomona. He attended Ottawa High School with the class of 1964. John was self-employed as a landscaper and also operated an antique shop. John was a member of the United Methodist Church of Ottawa and was a life member of the Franklin County Historical Society and the Franklin County Model Railroad Association. SERVICES: Graveside Funeral Services were held at the Highland Cemetery, 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2005. OFFICIATING CLERGY: Pastor Ken Maldanado CEMETERY: Highland Cemetery in Ottawa, Kansas. MEMORIALS: Memorial contributions may be made to the Franklin County Historical Society c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary 235 S. Hickory in Ottawa, KS 66067.
