James Vernon Noble Jr., born on April 25, 1949, in Manhattan, Kansas, the son of James Vernon Noble, Sr. and Josephine Elizabeth (Danielson) Noble, passed away at his residence on June 27, 2025.
Jim was an alumnus of the Paola High School, class of 1968. After growing up in Paola, he served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from May 29, 1969, until May 20, 1971, achieving the rank of Specialist Fourth Class.
Jim devoted forty years of his life to his career as a crane operator, welder, and many other positions beginning on October 27, 1975, with Taylor Forge and continuing until his retirement in December, 2015.
In his personal life, Jim found joy in various hobbies and activities. Jim found joy on the golf course at Osawatomie, where he’d spend mornings teeing off with his dear friend Bob, trading stories and sinking putts. His passion for collecting antiques, specifically bottle openers and Coca-Cola memorabilia, filled his home with nostalgic charm, each piece sparking a tale he loved to share.
Jim’s greatest pastime was watching his grandkids participate in sports and activities. His love shone the brightest while being their biggest fan and support. Above all, Jim's love for his family was the cornerstone of his life, he took pride in being a devoted father and grandfather.
Jim is survived by his two daughters, Jill Noble and Lisa Myers, both of Ottawa, Kansas; His grandchildren, Bailey Freeman, Rachell Freeman, Justus Noble, Owen Noble, Traten Myers, Chase Myers, and Evalyn Myers, all of Ottawa, Kansas. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Sherry Hendrickson, and brother, Larry Noble.
His legacy will forever live on through his family and the lives he touched during his lifetime. Jim will be remembered for his unwavering strength, love and dedication to his work and family.
Cremation is planned with no services scheduled at this time.
