Hunter David Bones, 23, passed away on October 20, 2026. He was born on June 24, 2003.
Hunter will be remembered as a funny, sarcastic, goofy, and kind young man whose big heart touched many lives. He was not one to take life too seriously, yet he was deeply dependable in the ways that mattered most. With very big shoulders to cry on, he listened to everyone and offered comfort freely. He was very active and could never sit still, and his willingness to help others was part of who he was. Hunter had a hard time saying no to anyone, and that generosity of spirit made him someone people were naturally drawn to. He also shared a special closeness with his mother and was, in the most loving sense, a true Mama’s Boy.
In his work, Hunter was a Line Clearance Specialist. He brought the same energy and dedication to his job that he brought to the rest of his life.
Outside of work, Hunter found joy in the things he loved most. Spending time with his boys: whether it was on the lake, around a fire, in a shop, or simply playing a round (or 10) of dye.” He enjoyed grilling on his Blackstone, playing video games, and loved sports, especially golf, baseball, basketball, and football. He was also a devoted fan of the Royals and the Chiefs. Whether spending time around family and friends or enjoying the excitement of a game, Hunter lived with enthusiasm and brought that spirit with him wherever he went.
Hunter leaves behind a family who loved him dearly: his father, Brett Bones; his mother, Pepper; his sisters, Layla and Andi McGlynn; a niece in whom he adored, Laiken McGlynn, and his fiancée, Kaydance Bond.
He also leaves behind an endless amount of friends, each of whom knew his loyalty, his humor, and his readiness to listen. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
