RESIDENCE HISTORY: Homer lived thirty-five years in Rantoul, Kansas, moving to Ottawa in 1961. EDUCATION: Homer graduated from Rantoul High School with the class of 1945. OCCUPATION & BUSINESS: Homer worked almost twenty years in manufacturing of mobile homes for Boise Cascade, known as Bendix and later as Commadore. In his early years, following his schooling, he worked on a farm, and later at Heart of America filling station. He also worked for Coca-Cola Bottling Co., in Ottawa, and Franklin County in road maintenance. GOVERNMENT SERVICE: Homer served in the Army National Guard from 1949 until 1957, attaining the rank of Spec. 4. MARRIAGE: On March 30, 1962, Homer was united in marriage with Judy R. Pearson. They were later divorced. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2004. OFFICIATING CLERGY: Pastor Richard Dunn. IN STATE: Mr. Schmoe will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday to the service hour. CEMETERY: Highland Cemetery in Ottawa.
