Gloria Anne Wolf

Gloria Anne Wolf, passed away on October 9, 2026, at her home in Ottawa, Kansas. She was born on February 13, 1944, in Laramie, Wyoming, and moved to Kansas shortly after her birth. She will be remembered with affection for her warmth, her devotion to animals, and the many quiet ways she shared her gifts and kindness with others.

She graduated from Ottawa High School with the class on 1962 and played tenor saxophone in the band.

Gloria served in the Kansas National Guard in the early 1970s. During that time, she worked as secretary for General Degraw, bringing dedication to her service. Her working life also included serving as a secretary at Kansas University for a professor. Later, she worked for Industrial Fumigates Company, where she remained until her retirement in 2012.

Outside of her work, Gloria found joy in music, dancing, and the companionship of animals. She liked to clog dance and had a special love for cats, whom she considered her babies. Her care extended to all animals and wildlife, and she was known for feeding opossums and raccoons as well. That generous spirit reflected the compassion she carried throughout her life.

Gloria was married to Bob Wolfe for six years before his passing in 2008. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Bob Kile.

She is survived by her brother, David Kile (Linda), as well as her nieces and nephews, who will carry her memory forward with love. Those who knew Gloria will remember her as a woman of gentle heart, independent spirit, and deep affection for the people and animals who were part of her world.
