Glenn F. Welch, age 74 of Princeton, Kansas, died Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012. He was born on Thursday, August 26, 1937 in Princeton, Kansas, the son of Glenn N. and Goldie (Mitchell) Welch. He was a lifelong resident of Princeton. Glenn graduated from Princeton High School with the class of 1955. He was a farmer and rancher; was a plant worker at Bennett Creamery in Ottawa from 1961 until 1967; and worked as a dock foreman for Western Electric, Merriam, Kansas until retiring in 1988. Glenn served stateside in the United States Army, from 1955 until 1961. He was a member of the Teamsters Union. He is survived by his: Son - Dan Welch and his wife, Cheryl of Osawatomie, Kansas Daughter – Brenda Wilker of Ottawa, Kansas Son – Buddy Welch and his wife, Shelly of Princeton, Kansas Son - Corky Mills of Osawatomie, Kansas Granddaughter – Mandy Applegate and her husband, Todd Grandson – Wade Welch Grandson – Greg Welch and his wife, Jenae Grandson – Beau Welch and his wife, Larissa Granddaughter – Hope Licktieg and her husband, Chance Grandson – Jordan Welch Granddaughter – Tash Mills Grandson – Skye Mills Grandson – Levi Mills Grandson – Mark Wilker Granddaughter – P.J. Henderson and her husband, David Great Grandchildren - Five He was preceded in death by his: Parents – Glenn and Goldie Welch Son -Eddie Mills Son - Daryl Wayne Welch Brother -Jimmy Welch Brother -Billy Welch Brother - Richard Welch Sister - Glenda Welch Daughter-in-law – Pam Mills Great Grandson – Gracen Licktieg IN STATE: The family will meet with friends at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
