RESIDENCE HISTORY: She was a lifelong Franklin County, Kansas resident. EDUCATION: Joan graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1950. OCCUPATION & BUSINESS: She was a supervisor for King Radio, in Ottawa, employed in 1974 to retirement in 1994, and a long time homemaker. MEMBERSHIPS: She was a member of First Assembly of God Church and life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post #5901, Auxiliary, both of Ottawa. MARRIAGE: On April 19, 1952, Joan was united in marriage with Junior Detwiler in Ottawa. He survives of their home. SERVICES: Graveside funeral services will be held at Highland Cemetery in Ottawa at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 2, 2005. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mrs. Detwiler at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends 7 to 8:00 Thursday evening.
