Ginger Suzanne Kruger, 65, went to be with our Lord on May 24th, 2026.
The beloved youngest daughter of the late Marvin and Esther (Richert) Funk. Ginger was born on February 22nd, 1961 in Newton, Kansas and spent her childhood in Hillsboro and Ottawa, Kansas. She graduated from Ottawa High School in 1979 and married Mark Pacheco (deceased). Together they had three children, Josh Pacheco, Jodi Hockett, and Corey Pacheco. Ginger was a homemaker that enjoyed hobbies such as sewing, baking, and creating the most beautiful floral arrangements. She loved to use her creative imagination in ways nobody would think of. Everything was homemade with love and care. She later went on to cosmetology school and opened up a tanning/nail salon with her sister, Bonnie Bulmer. Over the years she had many business adventures. Ginger was a true entrepreneur at heart, always dreaming.
Ginger married David Kruger in 2008 and they were married for eighteen years, a partnership that was founded in faith, true love, friendship and her source of strength throughout the final years of her life. Traveling was among their cherished interests, with special fondness for trips to the Outer Banks, Orange Beach, and Arkansas, where they appreciated the tranquility and beauty of the beach and enjoyed soaking up the sun.
Ginger was preceded in death by her mother, Esther Funk, father, Marvin Funk, and sisters, Roxanna Pence and Patricia Zamora, and brother, Bruce Funk. We take comfort in knowing that a beautiful homecoming awaited her in heaven.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, David Kruger; her sons, Joshua Pacheco (Rachel) and Corey Pacheco (Dena) and her daughter, Jodi Hockett (Josh), stepson Nic Kruger (Kat). Her grandchildren were the highlights of her life and include Olivia, Gabriel, Carter, Sawyer, Ava, Hudson, Dawson, FrankieLyn, and great grandson, Louie. She is also survived by her sisters, Robin Johnson (Allen), Bonnie Bulmer, and her brother, Troy Funk.
