Edward Golubski passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 31, 2026. He was born August 19, 1937 to Anthony Golubski and Julia Ceselski in Kansas City, Kansas. After graduating from Wyandotte High School in 1956 he joined the Marines. He was honorably discharged in 1963 and returned to Kansas City where he met the love of his life, Leota Ann Keeton. They married on August 13, 1960 and lived in Kansas City until the fall of 1972 when they moved to rural Paola. They became parents of two sons, Scott and Rick.

Ed was an electrician for the railroad for 18 years and then Bendix/Honeywell until he retired in 1999. After work and on weekends he took meticulous care of his house, lawn and other personal property, renovating and maintaining to keep everything in pristine condition. He took pleasure from gardening and sharing his bounty with others. He was a member of Holy Trinity from 1972 until his death.

Family and friends were very important to Ed and he was good at staying in touch with and visiting them. He didn’t like crowds, but he loved his family’s large gatherings. He enjoyed his grandchildren and spent many hours playing with them and later watching their sports and other activities. He was a talented woodworker and crafted many beautiful items for others. He was a skilled fisherman and created many happy memories in his bass boat locally and on lakes in the Midwest with family and friends.

Ed and Ann loved to dance in their younger years and were well known for dancing the polka. They supported each other and Ed lovingly took care of Ann after her stroke in 2003 until her death in 2018. They were blessed with 58 years together.

Ed was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and a sister. His survivors include his sister, Betty McMahon, son Scott (Nancy) of Paola and son Rick (Lisa) of Newton, KS, a granddaughter, Melanie (Cy) Pana of Paola, and five grandsons: Brett (Lexi) of Paola, Kurt (Taylor) of Spring Hill, Joel of Maize, KS, Trev of Stillwater, OK and Reid of Lawrence, KS.
