Edna M. Bishop passed away on August 30, 2025, at AdventHealth Shawnee, Shawnee Mission, Kansas. She was surrounded by family and friends.

Edna was born November 21, 1948, in Ottawa, Kansas. She was the daughter of James and Maxine Sutton.

She enjoyed camping, spending time with her family and watching her grandson play football. Edna was always ready to watch the newest episode of Heartland and Yellowstone. She also loved murder mystery shows.

Edna attended Garnett High School and was later united in marriage to Larry D. Bishop on November 12, 1966, in Ottawa, Kansas.

She worked at King Radio in Ottawa for many years and later at Stouse in Gardner, Kansas.

In marriage they welcomed three children. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son Richard Lee Bishop; and sister Martha Wood.

She leaves behind her son Randy Bishop (Tammy) of Ottawa, Kansas; daughter Angela Bishop (Bruce Sands) also of Ottawa, Kansas; five grandchildren Jonathon Foster of Princeton, Kansas, Donnie Foster of Ottawa, Kansas, Felicia Kennicott (Mike) of Ottawa, Kansas, Randy Bishop, Jr. (Kendra) of Ottawa, Kansas, and Kylee Johnson (Jake) of Ottawa, Kansas; eight great grandchildren Brooklynn Peak, Clara Kennicott, Kyla Kennicott, Gracelynn Bishop all of Ottawa, Kansas, Braylon Foster, Bryson Foster both of Princeton, Kansas, Taylah Johnson and Kyah Johnson both of Ottawa, Kansas; two sisters Marylin Roberts of Little Rock, Arkansas and Darla Robertson (Jamie) of Elk City, Kansas; brother James H. Sutton, Jr. (Mary) of Caney, Kansas; along with many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
