Doris Jueldeen Davis, born on December 6, 1934 in Modoc, Indiana, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026, at the Homestead of Osawatomie, Kansas. Doris lived a full and meaningful life marked by devotion to her family, a dedicated career, and treasured personal passions.
She was the beloved daughter of William Albert and Frances Vivian Harris Swain. Doris's early years in Modoc laid the foundation for a lifetime of love and commitment, most notably reflected in her 65 years of marriage to Walter William Davis Sr., a partnership deeply cherished until his passing.
Residing primarily in the Olathe, Kansas area, Doris contributed significantly to her community through her work with Farmers Insurance Company. Her career spanned over 35 years, during which she exemplified steadfast dedication and professionalism before entering retirement.
Outside of her professional life, Doris found joy and fulfillment in her crafts. She was an avid quilter, crocheter, and knitter, skills she practiced with patience and creativity, leaving behind beautiful works that spoke of her gentle spirit and artistic touch.
Doris is survived by her children: Charles Davis and his wife Rosemary, Allen Davis, and Walter William Davis Jr., who carry forward her legacy of love and strength.
Her final services were held on May 28, 2026, at Dengel & Son Mortuary in Paola, Kansas, where she was cremated. Plans for a joint burial with her late husband will be arranged in the future, honoring their lifelong companionship.
