Dolores "Dee" Wittkopp, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, in Louisburg, Kansas.
Born on June 11, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, Dee was a dedicated worker who spent her career contributing to the automotive industry. She proudly served on the assembly line at Ford Motor Company, where her work ethic and commitment to excellence were well-known. Beyond her career, Dee had a deep love for animals and spent a period of her life showing dogs, a passion that brought her great joy.
Dee is survived by her daughter, Lauren Wittkopp. She took great joy in her role as a grandmother to her two grandchildren, Shelby and Rowdy Thompson, who brought immense happiness to her life. Dee is also survived by her brother, Philip Rangel, who remained a supportive presence in her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Karen Rangel, her sister Tonya Mora, and her brother, Mark Rangel.
Dee’s legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will remember her for her strength, humor, and feisty spirit. She will be deeply missed.
