Cody Alan Seagrove

Cody Alan Seagrove, 29, born March 20, 1996, in Topeka, Kansas, went to be with the Lord on August 25, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.

He graduated from Ottawa High in 2014 and the “College” at Osawatomie High School in 2017,

Cody loved spending time with his family, going on walks, swimming and skating. He was involved in the Special Olympics, winning many medals and in Special Populations in Osawatomie winning 1st place mostly in track. Most of all, Cody loved Jesus and his sweet tea.

Surviving are his parents Michael and Lisa Pickering of the home and Lynnette Seagrove of Topeka, Kansas; siblings Lance Geier (Sabrina) of Killeen, Texas, Stephanie Haut (Jason) of Ottumwa, Iowa, Bradley Pickering of Ottawa, Kansas, Brandi Seagrove of Topeka, Kansas, Michael Pickering, Jr. of Ottawa, Kansas and Drake Pickering (Tori) of Ottawa, Kansas; grandparents Shirley Felman (John) of Garnett, Kansas, Cathy Richey of Ottawa, Kansas, Anna Wise of Lawrence, Kansas, and Carol Peck of Topeka, Kansas; great grandmas Mary Messawitz of Ottawa, Kansas and Millie Powell of Lawrence, Kansas; along with countless aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Cody is preceded in death by grandfathers Ervin Pickering, Glenn Wise, Sr., and George Seagrove, Sr,

Services will be held at Ottawa Community Church 824 W, 17th Street, Ottawa, Kansas. Doors will open at 1:00pm with services starting at 2:00pm.

They family asks everyone to bring a covered dish and join them in celebrating the life of Cody Alan Seagrove.
