Clifford F Banks, born on December 5, 1946, in Sabetha Kansas, passed on March , 2026, at The University of Kansas Health-Olathe Olathe, Kansas. He leaves behind a legacy marked by his kindness, dedication to family, and adventurous spirit.

Clifford’s educational journey concluded graduating from Fairview School, setting the foundation for his fruitful career life experiences.

After proudly serving in the United States Army, where he was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska, Clifford returned to life and began a notable career within the community. He initially worked at Trails Cafe in Holton, Kansas as a cook, and then began a long career at Lortscher Animal Nutrition in Bern, Kansas, ultimately retiring from there.

One of his proudest accomplishment was his active involvement in the Centropolis Church while living in Centropolis, Kansas. where he made friendships and strengthened his belief in God.

Clifford was an enthusiastic traveler. He cherished exploring new places, having visited 49 of the 50 states. Some of his favorite places he visited included Alaska, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. He loved sharing his travel story experiences with those around him. His interests included visiting flea markets, collecting oil lamps, and enjoying meals at IHOP. Above all, Clifford was a kind soul who enjoyed his family and friends most of all.

Clifford is survived by his sisters Ellen Osterhaus and Eileen Wiggins (Tim); brother Donald Banks; and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Evelyn (Carpenter) Banks; sister, Mildred Burdick; brother, Charles Banks; sister-in-law, Anna Banks; and brothers-in-law, Norbert Burdick and Melvin Osterhaus.

A Celebration of Life honoring Clifford will be held 10:30am on March 28, 2026 at the Centropolis Christian Church, located at 1104 Barnes Avenue, Centropolis, Kansas, with lunch to follow. Inurnment will take place 3:00pm at the St. Augustine Church Cemetery-Fidelity located at 1948 Acorn Rd., in Sabetha, Kansas.

Clifford will be remembered for his warmth, integrity, and the joy he brought to those fortunate enough to know him. His spirit lives on through the memories shared by family and friends.
