Charles “Chuck” T. Kreiser, Jr., a devoted family man and a respected professional, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026, in Melvern, Kansas. Born on April 23, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois, Charles was the beloved son of Charles T. Kreiser, Sr. and Elizabeth (Kingsley) Kreiser.
Chuck proudly earned both his bachelor’s degree in 1963 and his MBA in 1966 from Babson College, where he also met his lifelong partner, Margaret Reed. Their love story blossomed while he was attending college in Eureka, KS, culminating in a marriage that spanned an extraordinary sixty-five years. They joyfully celebrated their sixty-third anniversary at the Beaumont Hotel in Beaumont, KS; the very place they had their first date —a testament to a bond grounded in enduring love and companionship.
A dedicated professional, Chuck devoted thirty-five years to providing expert financial services with John Hancock and Aetna until his retirement in 1997. His career was marked by integrity and commitment, qualities he carried into every aspect of his life.
Chuck was known for his big heart and his passion for family. He took great delight in following his grandchildren's sporting events, traveling with enthusiasm from California to the Carolinas to cheer them on. His joy in family moments was palpable, and he treasured every opportunity to be involved in their lives, including many family gatherings
His interests extended beyond family to the Great Outdoors as an avid hunter and fisherman, Chuck was deeply connected to the land, often working the family farm with dedication and care. Family trips brought him happiness, as did his love of travel alongside Margaret. One of their most memorable adventures was a six-week excursion to Australia and New Zealand during “911”, but his favorite retreat was the serene KaBeeLo Lodge in Ontario, Canada.
Chuck’s profound respect for wildlife and conservation reflected in his active membership in Ducks Unlimited (Lifetime Sponsor), the National Turkey Federation, Pheasants Forever, and the Kansas Wildscape Foundation. For over two decades, he generously created the Turkey Ridge Youth Hunt and served as a guide for the Kansas One Shot Turkey Hunt, showcasing his leadership and commitment to nurturing future generations' appreciation of the outdoors.
He is survived by his loving wife; son Tom Kreiser (Michelle) of Port Charlotte, Florida, son Mark Kreiser (Carrie) of Louisburg, Kansas, daughter Karin Olson (Tait) of Louisburg, Kansas, and son Gary Kreiser (Amy) of Melvern, Kansas. Chuck was also the proud grandfather of eleven grandchildren, a great-grandfather to twelve great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandfather to two.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Susan Munno, and his brothers Steven, Jimmy, Ricky, and Bobby Kreiser.
Chuck’s life was marked by unwavering love, steadfast commitment, and a deep connection to both family and nature. His legacy endures in the hearts of all who knew him and in the cherished memories he leaves behind. He will be remembered with great respect and affection.
