Carol Lynn Maynard, 82, of Louisburg, Kansas, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025, at North Point Skilled Nursing in Paola, Kansas.

She was born on February 12, 1943, in Paola. She was the daughter of Archie and Elsie (Renner) George. Carol grew up in Paola and proudly graduated from Paola High School in 1961. In her professional life, she dedicated 32 years of service as a Certified Nurse’s Aide at the Osawatomie State Hospital before retiring. Her compassion and commitment to caring for others were hallmarks of her career.

On March 1, 1963, Carol married her beloved husband, Franklin Maynard, and together they had three children, Chad, Monica, and Kevin. The couple created a loving family and shared countless memories. Following Franklin's passing in 2007, Carol moved to Louisburg, Kansas, where she continued to engage in the community. She was a regular at the Louisburg Senior Center, visiting almost daily, where she developed an enthusiastic passion for playing Bingo. Carol would often travel around the area on Friday nights to play Bingo. Known for her competitive spirit, she enjoyed playing dominoes and was once an avid bowler, often accompanied by her husband in their bowling leagues.

Family was the centerpiece of Carol's life. She considered her children and grandchildren to be her proudest accomplishment. Carol never missed a single school event or sporting activity for her six grandchildren. Her love extended to her four great-grandchildren, with the anticipation and excitement of two more on the way.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Maynard; parents, Archie and Elsie George; and two brothers, Ralph and Harold George.

Carol is survived by her children; Chad (Jodi) Maynard, Monica (Craig) McWilliams, and Kevin (Kellie) Maynard, grandchildren; Randall Maynard, Conner Maynard, Mavrick McWilliams, Jacob Maynard, Keegan Maynard, and Karson Maynard, and great-grandchildren; Teghan Maynard, Michael Maynard, Cameron Maynard, and Lincoln Maynard, along with her sister, Margi Thoe, as well as many extended family members.
