Bessie Marie Pearce

Bessie Marie Pearce, 95, passed away peacefully on the morning of Thursday, December 13, 2001, at the Ottawa Retirement Village. Bessie Pearce was born March 27, 1906, at Rantoul, Kansas. She was the daughter of William David and Rhoda Bell Bowling Jones. Bessie was a near-lifelong Ottawa resident. Although a homemaker for most of her life, she worked with her husband for several years in the road construction industry. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting, as well as watching the birds and squirrels at play in her yard. On October 23, 1923, she was united in marriage to LeRoy Walter
