Berneta Palmer, 92, of Ottawa, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018, at Ottawa Retirement Village. Cremation is planned. No services are scheduled. Berneta was born April 9, 1926, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Bruce W. and Margaret A. (Van Hook) Warner. She lived in Topeka, Emporia and Minneapolis, all in Kansas and Dallas, Texas before moving to Ottawa, Kansas in 2015. She graduated from Topeka High School and attended two years at Washburn University in Topeka. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bruce Warner, Jr.; and sister, Jettie McClymond. She is survived by five children, Pres White of Parker, Colorado, Jettie Bezek of Ottawa, Doug White of Emporia, Elizabeth Blume of Overland Park, and Cassie Roth of Minneapolis; sixteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. She was a devoted lifelong homemaker. Berneta was an artist who worked in different mediums and was gifted in singing. In her adult years, she spent many years involved in Bible studies.
