Andrew J Menzel

Andrew J. Menzel, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away on October 15, 2026, in Ottawa at the age of 49. He was born on February 16, 1977, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Robert and Janice Menzel.

Andrew will be remembered for the enjoyment he found in the things that brought him closest to others and to the life he loved. He loved riding his motorcycle and spending time hanging out with friends. Andrew also enjoyed cooking and was especially known for his bar-b-que, including great pulled pork that will be fondly remembered by those who shared his table. Among the moments he valued most was spending time with his nephew, a relationship that brought him special happiness.

He was employed by Select Steel and Arrow Material Handling.

Andrew is survived by his parents Robert and Janice. May their memories of Andrew bring comfort in the days ahead and keep close the many moments that made him such a meaningful part of their lives.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Arnold and Helen Menzel and Clark and Maude Drexel; uncle Jim Ward; and aunt Vicky Risk.

Cremation is planned with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.

Andrew will be remembered with love by his family and friends, and by all who knew him through the simple pleasures he shared so generously.
