Amanda B. Cherney, born on March 13, 1987, in Olathe, Kansas, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026, in Princeton, Kansas. Known affectionately by many as "Cherney Princess," Amanda was a unique and cherished individual whose presence deeply touched the lives of those around her.
Amanda was the beloved daughter of Gary and Lisa (Hall) Cherney. She was preceded in death by her father, Gary Cherney. She is survived by her loving mother, Lisa Cherney, her brother Bruce Cherney and his wife Whitney along with their three children niece Annalee and nephews Weston and Stetson, who remain devoted family members who will carry her memory forward.
From the moment one met Amanda, her warm personality shone brightly. She was a sweetheart with a good sense of humor and a spirit that was a little ornery—a trait she endearingly inherited from her father. Her affectionate nature was evident in the way she loved giving out hugs, creating a comforting presence for everyone she encountered. Amanda had a special way of referring to her brother as “Bub,” a nickname that reflected the close and loving bond they shared.
Amanda held a particular fondness for cows, an interest that spoke to her gentle and caring heart. Her charm and adorable mannerisms left a lasting impression on all who knew her, and her absence will be profoundly felt within her family and community.
The family invites all who knew and loved Amanda to gather in her honor at a graveside service on June 26, 2026. The service will begin at 10:00 a.m. held at Princeton Cemetery, located at 1490 US-59, Princeton, Kansas 66078.
Amanda’s legacy of warmth, humor, and affectionate spirit will be treasured by all who were fortunate to know her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the joy and love she brought into so many lives.
