Alyssa Michelle Buehne, age 20, of Kansas City , Missouri , formerly of Ottawa , died Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park , Kansas . She was born on Sunday, October 28, 1990, in Overland Park , Kansas , the daughter of Robert K. Buehne and Cynthia G. Guy. She was currently a resident of Kansas City , Missouri , having previously lived in Paola and Ottawa . Alyssa attended Ottawa schools and graduated from Paola High School with the class of 2009. She attended Johnson County Community College and was currently attending University of Missouri-Kansas City in Kansas City , Missouri . Alyssa worked at Cottonwood Animal Hospital in Ottawa the past four years. She is survived by her: Father-Robert K. Buehne and his wife, Cindy, of Ottawa , Kansas; Mother-Cynthia Guy of Paola, Kansas; Brother-Aaron Buehne of Ottawa , Kansas; Stepbrother-Scott Billings of Ottawa , Kansas; Stepsister-Alexandria Billings-Bortzer and her husband, Mark, of Pratt , Kansas; Half sister-Angela Roschevitz of Paola , Kansas; Maternal grandmother-Hazel Fisher and her husband, Ron, of Moore , Oklahoma; Step grandmother-Linda Wilks of Ottawa , Kansas. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from Westminster Presbyterian Church, 401 W. 13th St. in Ottawa , at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2011. VISITATION: Family will meet with friends at Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa from 6:00 to 8:00 Monday evening. CEMETERY: Highland Cemetery in Ottawa , Kansas . MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorial contributions to Prairie Paws Animal Shelter which will be used for the Community Spay/Neuter Fund and Gerbil Fund to help shelter animals with medical needs, sent c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
