Allen's journey to Ottawa began in 2002 when he relocated from Lawrence, Kansas, after having grown up in Texas. He embraced the community and made lasting connections, becoming known for his warmth and kindness.

A proud member of Hope Anthem Church, Allen's faith was integral to his life, guiding him in both personal and community activities. He enjoyed many hobbies, including hunting, fishing, shooting, and working on cars, which reflected his love for the outdoors. His passion for life extended to watching movies and cherishing moments spent with family and friends, especially his beloved grandchildren.

Rucker, Alabama; his step-son Maurice Harper of Dallas, Texas; his step-daughters Ashley Fuller-Brown (Antonio) and Whitney Fisher, both of Dallas, Texas; granddaughters, Emslie Hill and Emberlie Hill; In-laws Loren and Sharon Middlebusher of Ottawa; and sister-in-law Chris Middlebusher also of Ottawa.
