Alice M. Taylor

Alice M. Taylor, age 98, of Louisburg formerly of Somerset passed away February 3, 2014 at the Louisburg Care Center. Memorials may be made to the Grace Hospice or the Alzheimer"s Association. Alice was born on July 4, 1915 in Hydro, Oklahoma to Patrick and Mary Towne McGowan. She grew up in Oklahoma and Kansas. On August 28, 1933 Alice was united in marriage to Harvey A. Taylor in Paola, Kansas. She was a homemaker raising six children. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one daughter Nora Howard. She is survived by her sons Robert and Thomas of Paola; daughters Nancy Birge of Paola, Barbara Pelton of Harrisonville, MO, Betty Rankin of Louisburg; sister Mildred Parker of Spokane, Washington; 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren.
