Alice LarRee Clark, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on December 8, 1961, in Springfield, Missouri, Alice spent her life cultivating love and joy in the hearts of those around her.
Alice was the cherished daughter of Alice F. Hammer, who predeceased her, along with her brother, Merl L. Hanson Sr., and sister, Koneda W. Maness. She is survived by her devoted husband, Marion Glenn (MG) Clark, with whom she celebrated nearly 47 years of marriage, having married on May 9, 1979, in Chanute, Kansas. Their union was a testament to enduring love and companionship. Alice was the proud mother of Maranda G. Columbia, and her love extended to her step-children, Shawna M. Perkins, Katherine K. Clark, and Micheal S. Clark. Her legacy is further carried on by her 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, each a testament to the warmth and kindness she shared throughout her life.
Education was important to Alice, who, after receiving her GED, pursued an Associate's degree at Fort Scott Community College. Her dedication to her career was evident during her 35 years of devoted service at Honeywell Aerospace in Olathe, where she recently retired. Her colleagues remember her as a diligent and kind-hearted professional whose problem-solving skills and willingness to listen made her a valued team member.
Alice's vibrant personality was a beacon of light to those who knew her. Known for her wild personality and hilarious one-liners, she had a unique knack for bringing any gathering to life. Her love for the outdoors was evident in her hobbies; she found joy in gardening, fishing, hunting, and bird watching. The family gatherings at Linn Valley Lakes, her favorite spot, were legendary, filled with laughter and the warmth of her presence. In every aspect of her life, Alice embodied a spirit of adventure and a heart full of love. She had a remarkable ability to connect with people, drawing them in with her infectious humor and genuine warmth. Her home was always open, a haven for friends and family seeking comfort and joy.
Alice's life was celebrated in a private ceremony, honoring her wishes to be remembered intimately by those who held her dear. Though she has left this world, the memories of her laughter, kindness, and indomitable spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a cancer research foundation of your choice, continuing Alice's legacy of hope and compassion. Her indelible impact on her family and community will be cherished eternally, and she will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
