Alberta Louise Fennewald

Alberta ( Bert ) Fennewald Alberta Fennewald, age 95, of Paola Ks passed away peacefully at Kansas City Hospice on May 16, 2025. Alberta was born on December 26, 1929 in Mexico Missouri to Otto Guy and Ora Gladys Nichols. She married Carl Fennewald on April 3, 1948 they were married for 58 years till Carl’s passing in 2006. They had 5 children with 3 preceding in death before Alberta. Cindy Fennewald, Alan Fennewald, and Barb Payne. She is survived by 2 sons Rex ( Regina ) Fennewald of Peoria Arizona and Max Fennewald of Blue Springs Missouri, 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Alberta was a homemaker and helped her husband in their garden by canning what they haven grown, she was a seamstress for her daughters and made the bridesmaids dresses for one of the girls and sons weddings. She was very devoted to her family, faith, and to the church. She worked and organized the funeral dinners at the church for over 30 years and was heartbroken when she didn’t have the strength any longer to do. Worked soup kitchen for 20 years. Alberta always had her smile on her face while helping others. Family ask Memorials be made to American Diabetes Association in Alberta’s name in lieu of flowers.
